So, which summer intensive are you going to this year? I am so excited to go to mine, I can’t wait to pack up my new dance gear from Merde and hit the road!!! Maybe I’ll see you there! I wish I could go to each and every program, but there is just not enough time in the summer!

This issue is packed with cool stuff you will need to take with you to your summer intensive. From items like shower caddies, Pilates mat carriers, and ID holders, to the basics like black leotards, pointe shoes, and tights…. Merde has you covered from the dorm room to the studio.
Not everyone knows how to do laundry well, but Merde girl’s here to help. We are going to learn how to wash and store that tutu you wore at recital, and also make a checklist of what to pack for your summer intensive. We are going to talk about how to eat healthy while you are away from home, as well as learn how to do our laundry. Best of all, we are going to talk with Courtney Galiano from Season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance. I so want her to be my new BFF, and you will too after reading her interview. It was amazing to meet Courtney and learn about the commercial LA dance scene. It is very different from the world of ballet company contracts, yet very similar in audition circuits and competition for work.
